What happens at the first appointment?
Your provider reviews your health history, medications, and goals, then discusses whether treatment is appropriate. Booking a consultation does not guarantee a prescription.
Who may be eligible?
Eligibility depends on the medication and your medical history. For many adult weight-management medications, criteria include a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related health condition. Your provider makes the final assessment.
How much does it cost?
The virtual consultation is $60, listed separately. Per-vial prices are $165–$180 for semaglutide–glycine and $200–$250 for tirzepatide–glycine. See the chart above for exact concentrations and vial sizes. Confirm follow-up visits, lab work, shipping, supplies, and other charges before starting treatment.
Are compounded medications FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. Ask your provider which product is proposed, who supplies it, and why it is appropriate for your individual medical needs.
What should I know about risks?
Possible side effects and serious risks depend on the medication. Review its full prescribing information with your provider, including your medical and family history, current medications, and pregnancy plans. Weight-management medication should not be used during pregnancy.
How much weight will I lose?
Results vary. Medication may support weight management alongside nutrition and physical activity, but no amount or timeline of weight loss is guaranteed. Discuss realistic goals and a long-term plan with your provider.
How do I request a refill?
